THE FEDERAL LAW GIVES YOU THE RIGHT….
Call Today to Receive an Authorization Form!
An authorization form is used to petition the National Labor Relations Board to hold a Secret Ballot election. Under the law, at least 30% of the designated bargaining unit must sign forms to petition for an election. Only Teamster officers and the Labor Board representatives will see the form that you sign. The authorization form does not obligate you to join the Teamsters Union.
YOU Decide the Contract Provisions to be Negotiated and YOU Vote on Whether or Not to Ratify (Accept) the Proposed Contract.
A committee of workers from the bargaining unit decides what issues will be negotiated. A Teamster representative will help you negotiate a contract with your employer. YOU get to decide whether or not you want to accept the final outcome.
No Dues until AFTER You Have a Signed Contract
Many other Unions require workers to pay union dues from the time they sign an authorization form – not in the Teamsters Union. Not until after a contract has been negotiated by you – no matter how long that takes – do you pay any dues.
